September 15 to 22, 2024 One Spot Open
In this new workshop, we have the privilege to photograph the most stunning horses of Spain, the stallions of the Pura Raza Espanola (Pure Spanish Horse). These stallions are the pride of their owners and can look back on a long tradition and history that is closely intertwined with the history of the land and its inhabitants.
We have done a number of workshops in Spain over the years, and for 2024, we have decided to put together a completely new itinerary and will be staying in the beautiful town of Avila, which is travel destination all by itself. A Unesco World Heritage Site, The city of Ávila is located in the centre of Spain, about an hour outside Madrid, in the Autonomous Community of Castile and León. Founded in the 11th century to protect the Spanish territories from the Moors, this ‘City of Saints and Stones’ has maintained its medieval austerity, and is the birthplace of St Teresa and burial place of the Grand Inquisitor, Torquemada.
We will be staying at a very beautiful hotel in Avila, and when we are not photographing the beautiful Spanish horses, we will have time to explore this beautiful city.
This is a 6-day, 7-night workshop that includes private accommodations, breakfast, travel to and from the airport, plus transportation to all the different locations during the week. All you have to do is arrive in Spain, and we will take care of everything.
Emphasis is on shooting, being creative and having fun, as we have found this approach to be much more effective than “classroom style” learning. Tony will share, in his own down-to-earth way, his 35+ years of experience during the shoots, and will cover the many elements involved in photographing horses.
Participants will all stay together.
Cost is $4400 per person. Limited to 12 people.
Non-refundable deposit is $2200
