New Dates: March 30 to April 6, 2025
New Zealand is a land of great contrasts and diversity. Active volcanoes, spectacular caves, deep glacier lakes, verdant valleys, dazzling fjords, long sandy beaches, and the spectacular snowcapped peaks of the southern Alps on the South Island—all contribute to New Zealand’s scenic beauty. New Zealand also has a unique array of vegetation and animal life, much of which developed during the country’s prolonged isolation. It is the sole home, for example, of the long-beaked, flightless kiwi, the ubiquitous nickname for New Zealanders.
New Zealand is also a place I have wanted to visit my entire life, so I thought why not now? New Zealand is not “known” for horses, but there are plenty of beautiful horses there, which will be our main reason for going, but certainly not the only reason.
This will be an all-inclusive workshop that includes private accommodations, breakfast, travel to and from the airport, plus transportation to all the different locations during the workshop. All you have to do is arrive in New Zealand, and we will take care of everything.
Emphasis is on shooting, being creative and having fun, as we have found this approach to be much more effective than “classroom style” learning. Tony will share, in his own down-to-earth way, his 35+ years of experience during the shoots, and will cover the many elements involved in photographing horses, as well as some tips on photography in general and what gives life to a finished image.
Cost is $4400 per person. Limited to 12 people.
