October 14 to 19, 2018
My “domestic” workshops in the western U.S. consistently fill up very fast, and oftentimes well in advance. As a result, I have been putting a lot of effort into finding more workshop locations in the west. This is a ranch I had the opportunity to do the “maiden voyage” with in October of 2017, and it was a great success. The staff was friendly and worked very hard to help us create a very fun and memorable workshop.
The workshop takes place at the Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch, a popular guest ranch near Loveland, Colorado. The ranch has about 75 horses for us to work with, as well as delicious food and cozy accommodations. This is a 5-night workshop and the ranch’s beautiful setting will provide a great variety of options for photography.
This is an all-inclusive workshop, and includes accommodations, delicious meals, some drinks, instruction and many shooting opportunities, as well as horseback riding, hiking, fly-fishing, relaxing and personal reflection. The workshop will provide many opportunities for photographing our favorite subject in a variety of situations. Tony will share his entire creative process with participants… how to see and work with light, planning a shoot with the right angles and perspectives, choosing backgrounds, camera settings during the shoot, and all that goes into the creation of a dynamic image after it has been shot.
We will shoot at different times of day… mornings, afternoons and evenings, and will either be horseback riding (or other activities) in-between shoots, or editing and working with the images that we have been shooting.
This ranch is easily accessible from the Denver airport.
Cost is $2900, with a $200 supplement if you want a private room all to yourself. Limited to 14 participants.
Non-refundable deposit is $1200.
