In the captivating beauty of Andalusia where spring presents itself in full bloom, we have the privilege to photograph the most stunning horses of Spain, the stallions of the Pura Raza Espanola (Pure Spanish Horse). These stallions are the pride of their owners and can look back on a long tradition and history that is closely intertwined with the history of the land and its inhabitants.
Some of the most important stud farms in Andalusia will open their doors for us and we will enjoy the legendary hospitality of Spain.
One of the highlights will surely be our beach shoot near Conil de la Frontera. We will also have the opportunity to photograph the classic Doma Vaquera, the traditional Spanish way of working equitation. We are planning on staying in a hotel in (or near) Vejer de la Frontera, the village that was the blueprint for the famous Moroccan village of Chefchaouen.
This is a 7-day, 8-night workshop that includes private accommodations in a nice hotel, breakfast, travel to and from the airport, plus transportation to all the different locations. Emphasis is on shooting, being creative and having fun, as we have found this approach to be much more effective than “classroom style” learning. Tony will share, in his own down-to-earth way, his 30+ years of experience during the shoots, and will cover the many elements involved in photographing horses.
Participants will all stay together. There will also be time to explore the local area and get a taste of the Spanish culture.
Cost is $3800 per person. Limited to 12 people.
Non-refundable deposit is $1800
