October 8-13, 2017 One Spot just opened up
My “domestic” workshops in the western U.S. consistently fill up very
fast, and oftentimes well in advance. As a result, I have been putting
a lot of effort into finding more workshop locations in the west. This is
a ranch I have had my eye on for a while now, and that I have been
talking with for many months. We have everything planned out for the
first workshop, and the “maiden voyage” at this Colorado ranch will
take place in October of 2016. I am confident this will become
another popular workshop.
The workshop takes place at Vista Verde Ranch, an upscale ranch
near Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The ranch has about 100 horses
for us to work with, as well as gourmet food and lodging. This is a 4-
night workshop and the ranch’s beautiful setting will provide a great
variety of options for photography.
This is an all-inclusive workshop, and includes accommodations,
delicious meals, drinks, instruction and many shooting opportunities,
as well as horseback riding, hiking, biking, fly-fishing, relaxing and
personal reflection. The workshop will provide many opportunities for
photographing our favorite subject in a variety of situations. Tony will
share his entire creative process with participants… how to see and
work with light, planning a shoot with the right angles and
perspectives, choosing backgrounds, camera settings during the
shoot, and all that goes into the creation of a dynamic image after it
has been shot.
We will shoot at different times of day… mornings, afternoons and
evenings, and will either be horseback riding (or other activities) in-
between shoots, or editing and working with the images that we have
Workshop fee includes private bedroom and transportation to and
from the airport.
Cost is $3300, and is limited to 10 participants.
Non-refundable deposit is $1500.
